Ribbon-Cutting and Open House Event
The official Dedication with Ribbon-Cutting and Open House for the new station will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 11000 NW Prairie View Road (south of KCI to the west of I-29) in Kansas City, Missouri. KCMO and KCPD officials will join with community leaders in dedicating the news station as the official construction phase concludes. The official groundbreaking ceremony for the new station took place on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 11000 NW Prairie View Road (south of KCI to the west of I-29) in Kansas City, Missouri. KCMO and KCPD officials joined with community leaders in turning the first shovels of dirt as the official construction phase begins. Read the news release here.
The North Patrol Public Meetings Team includes representatives from the City of Kansas City, Missouri, the Kansas City Missouri Police Department, and members from the project consultant team.
Community engagement is a key ingredient to project success. The project team is engaging the public to hear their thoughts and increase their awareness and involvement regarding the new station’s progress.
The team is working to coordinate regular community presentations at several community organization meetings. The groups the project team plans to meet with on a regular basis include:
- Platte County EDC
- Northland Clay County EDC
- Northland Chamber of Commerce
- Northland Neighborhoods, Inc.
- Environmental Management Commission
